Structural Fire Safety (Special Topic in Structural Engineering, Spring 2009)

Course Description:
Structural design for fire safety applying prescriptive and performance based building codes. Concepts of fire and heat, room fire, fire severity, fire resistance, and design for design exposure. Apply engineering principles from mechanics and heat transfer as well as analysis of results from fundamental experiments and simulations.
