Using Google+ Hangouts

Setting up a Google Hangout from your LTU calendar

Make sure that you are using Chrome browser!

  • Go to your LTU calendar
  • Select the day/date/time for Google Hangout
  • Select More Options
    Add information; e.g., Name of the session, time from/to
  • Click the down arrow to the right of Add Conferencing and select Hangouts Meet
  • Click the down arrow to the right of Join Hangouts Meet, information such as Meet link, Meeting ID, and call in number are listed
  • Click Save

Sending Invite
  • Invite Guests
  • Click Guests to the right of Event Details
  • Select attendees (from your Contact list) or type in email address (if not listed or outside of LTU)
  • Make sure to SAVE
An email invite will be sent to your guests for confirmation or you can email them directly with the link copied above


Live Meet/ Recording (nee: Google Hangouts, YouTube Live, Meet)

The option to record from Hangouts Meet and the option to screen share from YouTube have been discontinued as of August 1, 2019
