 Come mix and mingle with representatives of the Divine Nine Black Greek fraternity and sororities.  Representatives will share their respective organization's history, purpose, and the fulfillment they receive by being a member.

Thursday, September 15 | The S Word, film and Q & A with Director Lisa Klein
This film Is a documentary that seeks to amplify the voices of those living after suicide attempts and loss and raise awareness about suicide prevention and resources.  There will be a chat (1:15 pm)with film maker Lisa Klein, and learn more about her personal experiences that inspired her decision to make this film.

Sunday, September 18 | ADL Walk Against Hate
Because Lawrence Tech University is one of Southfield's crown jewels, The Anti-Defamation League of Michigan would love to have a group of LTU students, staff, and faculty join us as we take a stand against hate and move towards securing justice and fair treatment for all. Participation is free and so are the T-shirts, and registration is easy!

Barbershop Forum #1: Masculinity
Description: Join the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion's first barbershop forum Saturday, October 8th.  Our hosts will discuss masculinity, professional and personal development, and future goals in the LTU student experience.  This forum will also provide self-care and grooming tips for men.  Hosted by Student Government, Alumni Board, and the ODEI.  Participants must register by Oct. 5th:

Thursday, October 13 | Coco Movie and Loteria Game night
In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, come celebrate with us.  We'll be showing the film, Coco and playing Lotería (Spanish word meaning "lottery"), a traditional game of chance (similar to bingo).  There will be prizes to be won and we'll also be serving up some delicioso treats.

Tuesday, October 25 | Shoah Ambassadors, film and Q & A with Director Keith Famie
The documentary film, Shoah Ambassadors, by Detroit filmmaker Keith Famie follows two young individuals living in Detroit as they embark on a journey to tell the story of the Holocaust through their own artistic medium in order to carry on the history for generations to come.

The Human Library is a world wide movement that aims to address people's prejudices by helping them to talk to those they would not normally meet. This program uses a library analogy of lending people rather than books. To learn more about this movement visit
