Graduation Fair

As was announced on April 12, Spring 2021 courses will meet online for the remainder of the semester. The Grad Fair is still taking place on Tuesday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 14. The Grad Fair is where you can pick up your pre-ordered cap and gown (if purchasing) and have a professional photo taken to be featured in the ceremony.

Date: April 13 and 14 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Location: Blue Devil Bookstore (inside the Buell Building)

We will accept a photo emailed to Graduation@ltu.edu if you prefer to submit a photo remotely rather than attending the Grad Fair in person. The deadline for emailed photographs is Wednesday, April 14. Please be sure to check your LTU email for the photo submission guidelines.

Celebration Gift Box

Each graduate will receive a celebration gift at the Grad Fair. If you decide to email us your photograph, your celebration gift will be available to pick-up at the DTE One Stop Center starting Thursday, April 15 through Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Contrary to popular belief, diplomas are not awarded during the graduation ceremony. Diplomas are only awarded once a student has completed their degree. A degree audit is completed by the department of the degree being sought. If the student has completed all requirements to receive the degree, they will list the student as "graduated." An additional audit is then completed by the graduation team and the degree is posted to their transcript.

Diplomas are distributed approximately one month after the traditional semester ends.

The one-time graduation fee assessed to students covers the cost of the diploma and postage, degree processing, degree audit and verification from each department and the Registrar’s Office. All graduates must pay the fee, regardless of attendance at the ceremony.
