The Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication is designed for professionals who are seeking an alternative to a degree, and would like to broaden their backgrounds in technical and professional communication.
The certificate program requires 15 credit hours, six of which can be chosen as electives from the entire range of graduate technical and professional communication (COM) courses.
The following courses are required for the Certificate:
- COM 5103 Foundations of Technical Communication
- COM 5453 Research Methods and Applications
- COM 5553 Advanced Interpersonal Communication
Plus two additional COM courses (six credits) at the 5000 level or higher.
