The Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication is designed for professionals who are seeking an alternative to a degree, and would like to broaden their backgrounds in technical and professional communication. Additionally, all Lawrence Tech undergraduates have the opportunity to earn this certificate to enhance the value of their professional degrees.

The certificate program requires 15 credit hours, six of which can be chosen as electives from the entire range of undergraduate and graduate technical and professional communication (COM) courses.

The following courses are required for the Certificate:

  • COM 6103  Foundations of Technical Communication
  • COM 6453  Research Methods and Applications
  • COM 3553  Advanced Interpersonal Communication

    Plus two additional COM courses (six credits) at the 5000 level or higher.
