I have a Ph.D. from Oregon State University (2013), and I have more than 13 years of teaching experience in higher education. I worked as an adjunct faculty at Virginia Tech in spring 2021 teaching “History of Interiors” fully online. At Georgia Southern University (2013-2019), I taught a wide range of courses from design studios, CAD classes, and lectures to online courses including commercial office design studio, history of interiors, sustainability, studio I, and design appreciation. I also taught undergraduate courses and published research articles at Oregon State University as a graduate teaching and research assistant (2007-2013).

I have experience creating and teaching online classes, and I have an online teaching certificate from GSU’s teaching and technology center. In addition, I have several publications and conference presentations on “scholarship of teaching and learning”. My research is also focused on “environment and behavior”, and I am passionate about the impact of the environment on people’s behavior and sense of place. In addition to teaching and research, I served at IDEC as a reviewer for conference proposals, awards, and workshop proposals.
