Andrea Bogart

External Outreach, Social Media and Events
College of Architecture and Design

Andrea Bogart transitioned from her role as Manager of CoAD’s Detroit Center for Design + Technology to better serve the College as a whole. In addition to her full-time role supporting the CoAD’s event and marketing goals, Bogart empowers artists as an art advisor through her startup, Embrace Creatives.  After studying fine art at the University of Michigan she transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she lived before moving home in 2014 to help creatives thrive.

Learning business skills as the Assistant Merchandiser for Perry Ellis Portfolio Menswear and as the Director of Merchandising and Operations for Isaac Mizrahi, Ltd., Bogart began a jewelry design company in New York and using her dual mindset to build a successful brand, sold her designs through East Coast and Midwest galleries, and through high-end retail locations like Bloomingdales and Henri Bendels, NYC.

To build a bridge between interior professionals and reliable artists, in January 2021 Bogart launched Embrace Creatives, an online art showroom, and art advising firm. As an art matchmaker, she connects people who love art with art to love and interior professionals hire Bogart to source artwork, manage custom projects and deliver art, saving them time.

Bogart brings her wealth of creative entrepreneurial know-how, an extensive metro Detroit network, marketing acumen, and invaluable project management skills to CoAD.

Bogart was born in Virginia, raised in Oak Park and West Bloomfield, MI then moved to New York where she got married, divorced, raised her children, and grew her entrepreneurial careers. Currently, she and her husband, David live in Oakland County.
