The College of Architecture and Design

The College of Architecture and Design (CoAD) operates out of two connected buildings: the Architecture Building and the University Technology and Learning Center (UTLC). The Architecture Building, designed by Dean Earl Pellerin FAIA and built in 1962, originally housed the College of Architecture and the University Library. It now contains classrooms, studio spaces, student lounges, and the Brick Gallery. The UTLC, designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects and completed in 2000, is the university's largest academic building. It offers design studios, critique and seminar rooms, student lounges, labs, the administrative offices, faculty offices, and the 16:9 Gallery. 

Additional notable buildings on campus include the recently finished A. Alfred Taubman Engineering, Life Sciences, and Architecture Complex (TELSA) designed by Thom Mayne FAIA and his firm, Morphosis Architects. There is also a new dormitory designed by LTU CoAD alumni, INFORM Studio.

CoAD's Design x Technology Lectures are most often held in either T210 or the T419 (Lear Auditorium), both located in the UTLC building.
