Frequently Asked Questions

You should apply for on-campus housing as soon as you formally accept your offer of admission from Lawrence Tech. You can apply for housing through the status page of your application. All first-year students live in East Hall, a traditional, community-style residence hall with staff available to assist students in their transition to college. A $250 refundable security deposit is required.
First-year students living in East Hall must have a meal plan. Depending on the plan you choose, you will get 15 or 19 meals a week at the Blue Devil Café, an all-you-can-eat dining area in the heart of campus that is open seven days a week, plus Blue Devil Dollars to spend at the on-campus Einstein Bros. Bagels, the P.O.D. (Provisions on Demand), or at a popular local pizza place. Simply swipe your ID card and the food is deducted from your meal plan. Commuter students wishing to purchase a meal plan should contact the Office of Dining Services.
Whether you are a commuter or plan to live in a residential hall and keep your car at LTU, you need a parking permit. You can fill out the parking registration form on the Campus Safety site. You will take the completed form to the Campus Safety Office, suite 102, in the General Services Building to get your permit. There is no charge for a parking permit. It must be displayed in the lower corner of the windshield on the passenger’s side.
