Program Description:  All students must enroll in The British Experience six-credit course, and then can select from 30 courses that vary each semester. Students can participate in optional school-arranged weekend excursions to the British Isles, Ireland, Paris, Rome, Venice, and Florence.

Accommodations: Students live at the 100-room Victorian manor house in Grantham during the semester with students from 20 other U.S institutions. The manor is a fully functional home/ college offering classrooms, a library, and a sports hall, as well as student rooms. The manor also offers a bistro, laundry facilities, "telly" lounge, reading lounge, computer room, Wi-Fi, and a general store.

Approximate Program Costs: $6,000 plus LTU tuition costs

Program Description: Shanghai University is a comprehensive university with rich diversity of disciplines, it consists of 20 colleges and schools, 2 university-supervised departments and 1 physical education department at the moment, offering 58 undergraduate programs, 86 postgraduate programs, 20 doctoral programs and 9 post-doctoral programs covering Dynamic, Metallurgy, Electronic & Communication, Mathematics, Materials Science and Information Engineering. Summer Program in Paris

Location: Paris, France

Time of Year: 2019 Summer semester only, class begins on May 20, 2019 and ends on July 26, 2019.

Travel Abroad Dates: May 31, 2019 - June 30, 2019.

Academic Eligibility: Junior, Senior, or Graduate standing. Applicants must have minimum GPA of 3.0, OR provide reference letter from a previous professor and approval of the Department Chair.

Program Description: The Paris Summer Study Abroad Program is led by LTU faculty. It offers LTU students the opportunity to explore the architecture, art, urban fabric, social fabric and everyday life of this internationally renowned city. Participants are immersed in the rich history and culture of Paris. The architecture and architecture-engineering studio projects will have Paris project sites. All Paris program courses will use the city as a resource and living classroom. Guided walking tours, lectures, full-group discussions and a collective field trip are part of the Paris Study Abroad Program. Students will also have the opportunity to experience additional independent European travel during the month-long stay in Paris.

Accommodations: Residence hall (students and faculty will stay in same facility)

Approximate 2018 Paris Program Costs (subject to change): $3,500 - $3,700 separate from LTU tuition costs.

Financial Aid Limitations: Regular academic year financial aid CANNOT be used for summer term classes. Program Description: The International Engineering Programs (IEP) is offered by Hochschule Ulm to international students. The programs run for three months and are taught in English. They offer a variety of courses in the fields of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (IMEP), Computer Science/Engineering (ICEP), and Electrical Engineering (IEEP).

Many field trips are organized to different companies in the area. To get to know Germany and the German culture the International Office also organizes trips to other cities in Germany.

Ulm offers an intensive German language course for students with no or little knowledge of German. The course takes place before the start of the International Engineering Programs in March or September and runs for two weeks.

Kent State Florence Program

Program Description: Students take classes in the Palazzo dei Cerchi, a prestigious building in the historic center of Florence that dates from around 1280. The internal and external Palazzo was renovated in 2004. Its state-of-the-art classrooms and lecture halls are newly furnished and updated. The Florence Program and the Palazzo dei Cerchi are owned and operated by Kent State University.

Accommodations: Participants in the semester program live in apartments provided through Kent State. All apartments are fully furnished and located within the ancient city walls and within walking distance of the Palazzo.

Program Description: Tec de Monterrey is considered one of the best universities in Latin America. Although coursework is available in English, it is recommended that foreign studies students enroll in Mexican Culture and Spanish as a foreign language. su15 Bolivia: Creating socially-responsive art and humanitarian design

Program Description:
 In the summer of 2010, a team of students, educators, artists and designers travelled to La Paz, Bolivia, where they partnered with Bolivian non-profit Creativo Cultural Espacio and began a collaborative design effort with kids working on the streets of La Paz. The chief purpose of this effort was to generate new, street-based versions of education that more adequately fit the unique lifestyle of the children. The response, unlike current school systems which demand that the kids choose between working (and thus eating) or pursuing their education, allowed each child to pursue learning in a manner congruent with his/her schedule, circumstances, lifestyle, experiences and interests. Accommodations:  While in La Paz, we stay as a group within a home stay near the city center. While traveling, we stay in hotels.
