Learn about new MBA International degree June 19

Southfield, Mich. The College of Management at Lawrence Technological University is introducing a weekend Master of Business Administration (MBA) International degree program to prepare business leaders and future executives for the challenges of the global economy.

“The MBA International is designed to broaden and deepen a student’s knowledge of the global economy, the diverse societies that make up today’s world, and how business operates in an international environment,” said Louis DeGennaro, dean of the College of Management.

The MBA International is a limited-enrollment program that will be launched in the fall term. The first class members will progress together in a cohort by meeting on alternating weekends (Friday evening and Saturday) over 20 months.

Senior-level managers and executives will serve as mentors throughout the program. Students will gain first-hand experience with the global economy during a study component in one or two international locations where they will have access to executives of global companies, governmental officials, internationally recognized faculty and other experts.

The MBA International shares the same core competencies of Lawrence Tech’s popular weekend MBA program and will also integrate a number of topics from the Master of Global Leadership and Management program that has been developed by the College of Management for civilian leaders in the U.S. Army.

Topics include global leadership, global organization and change management, global technology and innovation, and global strategy.

“MBA International students will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a global citizen living, working, leading and managing in a global community,” DeGennaro said.

An information session on the MBA International degree program will be held Thursday, June 19, 6-7 p.m. in room M336 in the Buell Management Building on Lawrence Tech’s campus at 21000 West Ten Mile in Southfield. Make reservations by June 16 by calling (248) 204-3050, emailing mba-international@ltu.edu or registering online at ltu.edu/management.
