Lawrence Tech hosts nonprofits program March 10

Southfield, Mich. – Lawrence Technological University will host a program for nonprofit managers, “Making the Most of Limited Resources: Volunteers, Donors and Corporate Support,” on Monday, March 10, 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Registration and continental breakfast start at 7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria on the atrium level of the Buell Building, 21000 West Ten Mile Road, Southfield.

Crain’s Detroit Business Executive Editor Cindy Goodaker will moderate a panel discussion by award-winning nonprofit managers on the secrets of best-managed nonprofits.

A second panel of funders and corporate representatives will provide their perspective on how nonprofits can make the most of limited resources. This panel includes Cynthia Pasky, president and CEO of Strategic Staffing Solutions; Larry Coppard of the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan; and Wendy Jackson of the Kresge Foundation.

“The Upcoming Transfer of Wealth – A Fund Development Strategy” will be the topic for keynote speaker Scott Schropp of Merrill Lynch-the Iles Group.

The program is part of the Best Practices for Best-Managed Nonprofits and is sponsored by Lawrence Tech, Crain’s Detroit Business and DTE Energy Foundation.
