The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Lawrence Technological University relies on active learning to replace the “read, look, listen, and take an exam” approach found in traditional MBA programs.

The program melds theory with practice to provide a broad understanding of business management that will enable you to function effectively as a leader in today’s global society. You will be encouraged to develop a cross-disciplinary approach to managing organizations, and you will have opportunities to enhance your abilities in such areas as problem solving, communication, and team building.

Designed for working professionals, the Lawrence Tech MBA can be completed in as few as two years of evening and/or weekend study.

A Program You Can Grow With

Lawrence Tech’s MBA curriculum consists of 36 hours of course work, including 27 hours of core classes and nine hours of electives. An overall GPA of 3.0 is required for graduation.

If you have not taken prior course work in business, you may be required to take pre-core courses in accounting, finance, statistics, legal environment, economics, and marketing.

To meet your varied needs and maximize your learning opportunities, the College of Management offers three formats for course delivery:

  • Traditional courses are taught exclusively in the classroom, usually on weekday evenings or Saturdays, and are offered on the Southfield campus and at some of Lawrence Tech’s education centers.
  • Hybrid courses consist of approximately 50 percent classroom time and 50 percent online learning activities. Hybrid courses are offered at both the Southfield campus and at the education centers.
  • Online courses involve no classroom time and can be completed at your convenience. These courses provide you maximum flexibility for managing challenging work and personal schedules.

Getting Started
