Graduates in 2007

Congratulations to Dr. Abbott Basal, who successfully defended his dissertation on April 27th, 2007. The dissertation topic is "An Ontological Approach to IT Infrastructure Environment Discovery and Mapping." His dissertation committee members were: Dr. Al McCord, Dissertation Committee Chair, Dr. Annette L. Steenkamp, LTU member, Mr. P. Siva, from DaimlerChrysler Financial Services and Mr. J. R. Maki from IBM Corporation.

Congratulations to Dr. Anene Nnolim, who successfully defended his dissertation on October 26th, 2007. The dissertation topic is "A Framework and Methodology for Information Security Management." His dissertation committee members were: Dr. Annette L. Steenkamp, Dissertation Committee Chair, Dr. Al McCord, LTU member, Mr. K. Kousky from IP3, Inc.

Congratulations to Dr. Loran Walker, who successfully defended his dissertation on November 16th, 2007. The dissertation topic is "Development of  a Process Improvement Approach for Graduate IT Education ." His dissertation committee members were: Dr. Annette L. Steenkamp, Dissertation Committee Chair, Dr. V. A. Hoffner, LTU member, Dr. A. A. Borchers from Kettering University, and Dr. W. A. Moylan from Eastern Michigan University.

Congratulations to Dr. Dimitri Kopaliani, who successfully defended his dissertation on November 30th, 2007. The dissertation topic is "Architecture Of Digital Asset Systems for Libraries." His dissertation committee members were: Dr. Peter Chang, Dissertation Committee Chair, Dr. V. A. Hoffner, LTU member, Dr. Annette L. Steenkamp and Dr. Dr. Michael Blaha.

Congratulations to Dr. Donald R. Warner, who successfully defended his dissertation on December 6th, 2007. The dissertation topic is "Effective and Innovative Use of IT Business Intelligence to Reduce Manufacturer's Warranty Costs." His dissertation committee members were: Dissertation Chair Dr. Al McCord, with Dr. Annette L. Steenkamp, and Dr. Mike Cavaretta.

Congratulations to Dr. Kamal Kakish, who successfully defended his dissertation on December 7th, 2007. The dissertation topic is "Improving the Global Supply Chain through Tightening of IT Security." His dissertation committee members were: Dissertation Chair Dr. Annette L. Steenkamp, Dr. Al McCord, and Mrs. Pat Snack.

Graduates in 2006

Congratulations to Dr. Dorin Andreescu, who successfully defended his dissertation on October 27, 2006. We are  proud of his outstanding work and accomplishment. His dissertation committee members were: Dissertation Chair Dr. Lerine Steenkamp, with Dr. Al McCord and Dr. DonchoPetkov from Eastern Connecticut State University. Dorin is the first DMIT student to achieve doctoral status from LTU.

Congratulations to Dr. John Li and Dr. David Van who successfully defended their dissertations on November 18, 2006 and have achieved doctoral status at LTU.  We are proud of their fine achievements as students in DMIT Cohort 1. John's dissertation committee members were: Dissertation Chair Dr. Lerine Steenkamp, with Dr.Peter Chang, and Dr. Gordon Skelton. David's committee members were: Dissertation Chair Dr. Lerine Steenkamp, Dr. Peter Chang and Dr. Jung Choi. Dr. Skelton is Associate Professor at Mississippi State University (at Jackson) and Dr. Choi is Associate Professor at Wright University, Columbus, Ohio.
