Master Class

An extraordinary opportunity for post-thesis students to closely engage with a visiting "Master Practitioner" in a unique semester of study bridging the worlds of academia and professional practice. The course of study focuses on issues that are currently being considered by the visiting practitioner and students are encouraged to reflect on, and stretch their conceptions of architecture through a rigorous investigation of these issues. While not viewed as a traditional studio, the projects and pedagogical approach for the semester varies based on the particular research of the visiting practitioner. Students are also offered the opportunity to visit the work of the visiting practitioner during a mandatory field trip to view a body of his/her work and/or related works/area of study.
