The OCS/CED works collectively with academic and student support service units and employers, to actively provide students and alumni with career planning counseling, resource materials and employment opportunities, to meet the rapidly changing employment needs in today's global job market.

The Office of Career Services can help prepare students to find their ideal job. The Office provides lifetime employment assistance and support to Lawrence Tech students and alumni, starting with their freshman year. In recent years, Lawrence Tech alumni have enjoyed a 97 percent placement rate in their professional fields within their first year after graduation. The University's demonstrated record of success in industry and the professions gives Lawrence Tech graduates a competitive edge in the job market. Most graduates attribute the University's outstanding reputation as a major factor in their securing a job. Standard and Poors ranks the University in the top third nationally of all colleges and universities which graduate the leaders of America's most successful companies.
