LTU’s E-Learning Committee

Co-Chair:  Dr. Pam Lowry and Dr. Jackie Stavros

Vision:  To assist our colleges to build a flexible, dynamic and open e-learning environment.

Mission:  The purpose is to provide support, direction and linkage among faculty, staff and administration to build an e-learning community to include:

  1. technological infrastructure
  2. programs to train and support faculty, staff and students
  3. resources to assist faculty with design, development and delivery of courses, curriculums and programs
  4. continuous communications of e-learning initiatives and events

Goals:  In support of the mission, some of our goals are to:

  1. be a technological leader in e-learning tools
  2. utilize the services of Instructional Technology Resource Center
  3. provide ongoing training in Internet Technologies to faculty (i.e. Blackboard, video conferencing, audio and video streaming, etc)
  4. incorporate outcome assessment criteria into e-learning courses
  5. develop qualities and skill sets profile and expectations of an on-line faculty member and a student
  6. work with  each college  to create an e-learning strategy and action plan
