LTU’s E-Learning Committee
Co-Chair: Dr. Pam Lowry and Dr. Jackie Stavros
Vision: To assist our colleges to build a flexible, dynamic and open e-learning environment.
Mission: The purpose is to provide support, direction and linkage among faculty, staff and administration to build an e-learning community to include:
- technological infrastructure
- programs to train and support faculty, staff and students
- resources to assist faculty with design, development and delivery of courses, curriculums and programs
- continuous communications of e-learning initiatives and events
Goals: In support of the mission, some of our goals are to:
- be a technological leader in e-learning tools
- utilize the services of Instructional Technology Resource Center
- provide ongoing training in Internet Technologies to faculty (i.e. Blackboard, video conferencing, audio and video streaming, etc)
- incorporate outcome assessment criteria into e-learning courses
- develop qualities and skill sets profile and expectations of an on-line faculty member and a student
- work with each college to create an e-learning strategy and action plan
