It is more true than ever before that to succeed in the 21st Century, you will need to deepen your knowledge of the global economy, the diverse societies that make up today’s world, and how business operates in an international environment.
Why International Business Management at Lawrence Tech?
The College of Management’s International Business Management program is a distinctive program that leverages innovative business curriculum with global perspectives providing you a breadth and depth of knowledge regarding business operation in a global business environment and prepare you for the challenges facing businesses in the complex world economy. It was specifically designed for international students holding a three year diploma wishing to complete their undergraduate studies at an accredited university in the United States. The program consists of 30 credit hours of course work and can be completed in 12 months on campus.
The 3 + 1 completion degree program in International Business Management will:
- Allow foreign students to complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited American university.
- Leverage projects, exercises, workshops, and other pedagogical tools into the learning.
- Emphasize the development of managerial competencies such as personal and interpersonal skills.
- Shift the classroom focus from teaching to engagement and from professing to facilitating and coaching.
- Simultaneously admit (conditionally) you to Lawrence Tech’s MBA program. If you continue in the MBA program you may transfer six hours of approved undergraduate course work to the MBA program.

Your Path to graduate study
Lawrence Tech’s 3+1 program will provide you a pathway to continue your business education as qualified students will be simultaneously be conditionally admitted to Lawrence Tech’s popular MBA program. As a conditionally admitted grad student, you can take up to six hours of approved graduate course work that will count for both your undergraduate and graduate degrees. Not only will you be accelerating your knowledge, but also be the time it will take to complete your graduate degree.
Getting started
Admission to Lawrence Tech’s 3+1 completion program is competitive with classes starting in the fall and spring each year.
Applicants must:
- Hold a three-year college diploma from a reputable school.
- Have earned a GPA of 2.75 or higher in their coursework
- Take the TOEFL or IELTS if English is not their native language. The minimum acceptable performance is 550 on the written or 79 on internet based TOEFL. Minimum acceptable IELTS score is 6.0. (Applicants with less than the minimum scores will be required to take ESL coursework throughout the program.)
