The vision of the College of Engineering is to be positioned as a leader in engineering education with regional recognition and national prominence. This entails innovation, the development of strong and timely programs, making a difference in people's lives, leadership, agility, and international presence.  Several of these ideas clearly apply to sustainability education.  Moreover, the concepts of efficiency and minimal use of resources have always been at the core of any engineering discipline.
