Solar Oven Project - AESG members constructed fully functional solar ovens for public demonstration.
DTE Hydrogen Power Park - Students helped troubleshoot the system at startup, assess the functionality of emergency systems, and reviewed operational data for system optimization.
State of Michigan Wind Working Group (ongoing project) - Graduate student Daniel Alberts conducted research on the siting issues with wind turbines and wrote up an extensive list of guidelines for the Michigan Wind Working Group based on his findings.
Mobile Micro Grid Literature Search
10 kW Photovoltaic Demonstration Project - Students worked side-by-side with professional contractors to install a 10 kW photovoltaic system on the roof of the LTU engineering building in the spring of 2005.
Solar Hot-water Heating System - High school student Ruchika Kumar spent summer of 2005 with Dr. Robert Fletcher building two solar hot-water heaters for the alternative energy laboratory.
