Hello and welcome to Lawrence Tech! My name is Megan Fuhlman, and I am the Multicultural Student Support Services staff person. I coordinate all of the cultural programming that comes out of the Office of Student Activities.
I have been at Lawrence Tech in this position since October of 2007, and have loved every minute of it! I graduated in December 2007 with my Masters degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. Before I started school at Michigan State, I grew up in Washington State and attended Central Washington University where I earned my B.A. in Studies in Diversity Awareness.
Through my experiences at Central Washington and Michigan State, I have cultivated a passion for learning about issues of diversity and learning about different cultures. I believe we live in a country that is full of cultural riches, and just by being here, we have the opportunity to reap the amazing benefits and wonders of learning about other cultures, histories, and all that comes with diversity. I encourage any and all of you to come and check out some of our exciting events and activities. They will provide you the opportunity to look at the history of many cultures represented here at Lawrence Tech, as well as current climates surrounding issues of diversity, and how we each can make our place in a global society.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to use the suggestion form on the Multicultural Student Support Services home page, or send me an email at mfuhlman@ltu.edu. I look forward to meeting you!
