Graduation Dates and Deadlines

Graduation Term / Deadline to Turn in Your Petition

December (Fall) / November 15th
May (Spring) / April 15th
August  (Summer) / April 15th (attending commencement)
August (Summer) / July 15th (not attending commencement) 

Failure to submit a petition by the deadline will result in a one-semester delay in your degree or certificate being awarded.

To be added as a May 2009 graduate or attend the commencement ceremony you will need to turn in a petition for graduation to Enrollment Services by April 15th, 2009

This year the graduation ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 17th, 2009 at 2pm. The location is Cobo Arena located at:

Diplomas are mailed approximately one month after the traditional semester ends.   If your address will be different after graduation, please be sure to update your address on BannerWeb before the diploma mailing dates listed below.  Toronto and Vancouver diplomas are mailed to the campus site via UPS mail.  Please Note: Diplomas will not be released by the dates listed below if you have any past due financial obligations (library fees, parking, tuition, and housing charges) and/or if you are a U.S. Student Loan recipient and have not completed Exit Counseling.
