EMBRACING A GLOBAL VIEW
Lawrence Technological University is working to build relationships with universities around the world in an effort to better prepare students to meet the challenges of the global economy. Lawrence Tech graduates will be expected to work across cultures. They will be required to possess what some business leaders have called a "global mindset."
The University is working to provide students - both here and those from abroad - more opportunities to study in a different country and gain exposure to other cultures. Savvy "citizens of the world," conversant and comfortable in many cultures, will be better prepared to prosper and succeed in the rapidly changing global economic environment.
Lawrence Tech has signed more than 20 academic agreements with international universities. Students from several of these universities have come to Lawrence Tech to study for bachelor's and master's degrees, and conversely, Lawrence Tech students have journeyed to several of those universities to study and, in some cases, intern at the foreign offices of international firms. Some of the agreements also include joint research projects and the exchange of faculty.
