Data & Applications Analyst
Larry Chesnutt has been with Lawrence Technological University since 2006 as Data and Applications Analyst. He works with the Office of Institutional Research to provide the technical and automated assistance necessary to support the delivery of departmental objectives and to obtain data from the University database (SunGard SCT Banner). He assists the Director of Institutional Research with the daily technical and automated operations.
Larry serves as the liaison between the functional users of Institutional Research and Financial Aid and the University IT personnel. He writes queries for reporting and for analyzing system performance (using SQL*Plus and other reporting tools). While maintaining numerous spreadsheets of historical university data, Larry provides various institutional statistical data for campus administrators. He also completes many Federal and State governmental required reports and surveys.
Larry troubleshoots and works with campus departments to correct data and process issues, irregularities, and inconsistencies found within the University database. He reviews, tests, and provides recommendations to assist the IT staff with implementation of system upgrades and he maintains system tables with reference to processes commonly used in Financial Aid and Institutional Research.
