Benjamin B. Benson, Ph.D.
PDC Director                                          

Dr. Ben Benson is the PDC Director and also serves as a professor in the College of Management .  He specializes in entrepreneurship, business acceleration, and business readiness. 

Dr. Benson worked for Aon Talent Solutions and Development Dimensions International (DDI), two world-premier organizations that are leaders in the area of human performance and executive development. Benson has been a business consultant for more than 15 years, as an associate partner with Accenture (a big four consulting firm) and an engagement and sales director for Spherion (a technology and staffing firm).

Benson earned a Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Organization Design. He has consulted for leading organizations including Brunswick , State Farm, BankOne, Best Buy, Blue Cross Blue Shield, University of Michigan , AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Caterpillar, Nissan, Toyota , Mazda, Pacific Gas and Electric, and US Bank.

Ben has published research with the American Society for Training and Development and with South-Western College Publishing in the areas of leadership development, change management, and HR transformation.

Timothy Meloche
PDC Program Manager

Timothy Meloche is Program Manager for the PDC. He is a well-known entity in the Detroit market based on his senior management experience at the largest and most successful radio and television news operations in Michigan, WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) and WWJ-AM (Newsradio 950) where he worked for more than 10 years.

Recognized for leading numerous successful journalistic pieces including an award-winning documentary about the Detroit Public Schools and coverage of the 1987 crash of NWA Flight 255 near Detroit Metro Airport , Tim has also authored more than a dozen published articles, editorials, and features. 

In addition, Tim has a broad range of public and media relations experience at local firms such as C&B Scene, Marx Layne & Company, and Delta Communications.

Tim's clients have included Travel Michigan, CBS Television, Volkswagen of America, Shanty Creek Resort, Think Twice Foundation, Matt Prentice Restaurant Group, DTE Energy, Grosse Pointe Public Schools, General Motors, Detroit Public Schools Employee Association; Wayne County Criminal Defense Bar Association, Liss & Associates, P.C., Accenture, and Radio & TV Orient.

Meloche earned a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is a graduate of the radio and television program at the Specs Howard School of Broadcasting.
