IRS will discuss tax issues for nonprofits at Lawrence Tech July 21

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. ­– Internal Revenue Service (IRS) professionals will discuss unrelated business income and how to report it for 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organizations on Thursday, July 21, at Lawrence Technological University, 21000 West Ten Mile, Southfield.

The program hosted by Lawrence Tech’s Center for Nonprofit Management will be held from 9-11 a.m. in room M218 of the Buell Management Building. The cost is $25.

The final session in a three-part series will be held on Friday, Sept. 23. It will explore the tax issues involved with various types of employment, including independent contractors and consultants.
