Lawrence Tech becomes ambassador for Medical Main Street

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Lawrence Technological University has been named to the Ambassadors group of Medical Main Street, Oakland County’s unique alliance of world-class hospitals, universities, medical device makers, biopharma companies and top medical professionals.

Oakland County is a center of innovation in health care, research and development, education and commercialization in the life sciences industry. Medical Main Street is part of Oakland County’s government.

The Ambassadors are organizations committed to maximizing the growth potential of the health care and life science sector in Oakland County and the region. Membership to the Ambassadors group is by invitation only.

“The medical services sector of the economy is presenting many opportunities for our graduates in life sciences and biomedical engineering,” said Hsiao-Ping Moore, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Lawrence Tech. “We support Medical Main Street because it is playing an important role in the creation of new jobs in Oakland County.”
