Feb. 5 art exhibit and auction to benefit students

Southfield, Mich. - "Art Meets Tech," an art exhibit and auction of works of fine art donated by Park West Gallery will be held at Lawrence Technological University on Thursday, Feb. 5, 5-8 p.m.

The auction to benefit student scholarships will be held in the University Technology and Learning Center (UTLC) gallery at Lawrence Tech, 21000 West Ten Mile Road, Southfield. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Park West Gallery has donated more than 200 works of art to Lawrence Tech. Many are currently on exhibit in the UTLC gallery, and there will be a silent auction for some of the donated works.

Public viewing at the UTLC gallery will be Friday, Jan. 30, 5-7 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb. 1, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 6, 5-7 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lawrence Technological University, ltu.edu, offers over 80 undergraduate, master's and doctoral degree programs in Colleges of Architecture and Design, Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Management.
