LTU fans will be able to watch Hali Butler (12) and her basketball teammates on streaming and on-demand video.

Lawrence Technological University Athletics and Stretch Internet have partnered to provide live streaming content of LTU home sporting events on LTUAthletics.com.

“After receiving positive feedback from the eight games we streamed last year, it was an easy choice to partner with Stretch Internet. Beyond the exposure that this will bring Lawrence Tech, parents now have a convenient way to watch their son or daughter play if they are unable to make it to campus,” LTU Athletic Director Scott Trudeau said.

LTUAthletics.com, in partnership with Stretch Internet, will stream at least 85 live sporting events in high-definition, including the men’s and women’s teams in soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and tennis, as well as women’s volleyball and men’s hockey – using the custom designed GameCentral 2.0 portal.

Parents, relatives and friends of LTU student-athletes can now view live stats, play-by-play, and game highlights along with the live stream of the games from their web browser. GameCentral 2.0 portal also allows users to interact with fans during live games through blogs, chats, and social media feeds.

Stretch Internet also provides LTU with on-demand viewing. If fans missed a home Blue Devils event or want to watch the game again, they can visit the on-demand section of the portal for all past broadcasts of LTU sporting events. Stretch Internet is available on desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile devices such as the iPhone and Android-powered phones.

The Blue Devils’ first live webcast of the season will debut in August. For up-to-date information on upcoming broadcasts, visit LTUAthletics.com.

Stretch Internet, based in Gilbert, Ariz., was founded in 2003 by a former sports information director who saw the need for web-based live streaming of athletic events for small and large colleges and universities around the country. Over the past 10 years, Stretch Internet has grown to assist over 500 schools from around the country in streaming live athletic events.
