Project Management Options

Concentration in Project Management

Students can complete a concentration in Project Management through the College of Management! A concentration in Project Management is available in each of our master's degree programs:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS)
• Master of Science Operations Management (MSOM)

Students may elect three project management courses as concentrations within each of our master's degree programs:

• MGT6153 Project Management (Required)
  • This course has a Management MGT6153 or Technical version MIS6153
  • The technical version has a concentration in Information Technology
• HRM6123 Performance and Productivity Improvement
• HRM6133 Managing the Project Organization
• MGT6213 Directed Study
• MGT6223 Project Risk and Project Quality Management
• MIS6253  Managing Outsourced Projects
• MGT7123 Topics in Project Management

Graduate Certificate in Project Management

The Graduate Project Management Certificate offered at Lawrence Technological University, College of Management provides students with primary project management knowledge and practical experience managing projects.  

Students will learn the Project Management Institute, project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) by completing four 3 credit hour project management courses.  Completion of the program provides students with practical knowledge for managing projects.  Students seeking to advance their skills in the field of project management also gain critical knowledge and experience.

Completion of the Graduate Project Management Certificate can also provide qualifying requirements for students with plans to apply for the Project Management Institute, professional certifying programs.
