Master of Business Administration International
Lawrence Technological University’s MBA International is a weekend global management program specifically developed for mid-level managers who work or aspire to work in organizations that operate across national cultures. The MBA International is designed to broaden and deepen your knowledge of the global economy, the diverse societies that make up today’s world, and how business operates in an international environment. You will also be encouraged to develop a cross-disciplinary approach to managing organizations.
The MBA International allows you to not only expand your knowledge base in thefunctional areas of business, but also to simultaneously experience the richness of diverse groups of people and cultures through international study. The program’s integration of topics such as global leadership, global organization and changemanagement, global technology and innovation, and global strategy provides you with a deeper understanding of what it means to be a global citizen living, working, leading, and managing in a global community.
A Program You Can Grow With
The mission of the MBA International is two-fold: first, to offer an MBA program that transcends conventional management education by focusing on the art of managing; and second, to help develop the next generation of global thinkers and managers by creating a learning environment that includes a deeply humane understanding of the increasingly interconnected world community.
The MBA International shifts the traditional educational focus on the transmission of knowledge to the development of managers through:
-
Emphasizing learning through reflection, which connects what you have learned with your experiences in the workplace
-
Utilizing senior-level managers and executives from industry as your mentors throughout the program
-
Sharing managerial experiences with your fellow students
-
Shifting the classroom focus from teaching to engagement and from professing to facilitating and coaching

Preparing You for Success
Lawrence Tech’s MBA International is a 20-month program with classes meeting on alternating weekends (Friday evening and Saturday). The curriculum consists of 36 credit hours of course work organized into 12 modules. Each module consists of a core business component delivered in workshops, seminars, exercises, case analyses, and other forms of interactive learning.
At the end of module six (normally in mid-summer), you will travel with members of the faculty to an international location where you will be hosted by global organizations, governmental agencies, and foreign universities. This international study component is designed to provide you with access to executives of global companies, governmental officials, internationally recognized faculty, and other experts.
Applicants are expected to have a significant working knowledge of business functions, such as basic accounting, finance, economics, law, marketing, and statistics. This knowledge and understanding can come from prior course work and/or substantial work experience in a functional business area. Students who do not meet this expectation can satisfy their pre-core requirements by taking courses through LTU Online while taking their core classes.
