Experience
2009-present - Professor, College of Management, Lawrence Technological University. Teaches courses in Financial Management.
2006-2009 - Director, Doctoral Programs, Walsh College, Troy, Michigan. Manages Doctoral program in Executive Leadership.
Teach courses in investments, capital markets, environmental economics, and entrepreneurship. Collect, analyze and report monthly data for the Detroit Metropolitan Area Purchasing Managers Report.
2001-2006 - Associate Dean. DBA Program Director. Teach classes in finance and management at the MBA level.
1995-2001 –Senior Vice President and Branch Manager, Detroit Branch, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Promoted August 1, 1995 and effective December 1, 1995 responsible for the management and performance of the Detroit Branch. Oversaw a staff of 450 and an operating budget of $30 million. As senior officer responsible for the District Cash Operations, achieved first place standing in the Federal Reserve System in 1998-2000. Assumed responsibility for Seventh District Emerging Payments study initiative in 1998 and was appointed to the Federal Reserve Payments System Development Committee in 2000. In 1999 was given responsibility for establishing a management-training program for 300+ management personnel in the District. In 2000 was given responsibility for managing the Federal Reserve System’s Branch Managers Conference in Charlotte, N.C. Taught in the Michigan Bankers Association School of Banking and at the University of Michigan-Dearborn MBA program. Retired December 31, 2001.
1994-1995 –Vice President and Director of Regional Economics Programs and Statistics, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
1983-1994 –Vice President and Assistant Director of Research, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Responsible for establishment and daily management of Department’s urban/regional economics program. Managed and participated in the Department’s outreach and economic development studies with: The Commercial Club of Chicago, The Wisconsin Strategic Development Commission, The Detroit Renaissance, The Great Lakes Commission, Iowa Development Commission, and the Iowa Business Council. Worked cooperatively to design and implemented the Council of Great Lakes Industries in 1991. Responsible for briefing bank management on issues relating to regional economic developments and material for Federal Open Market Committee meetings. Frequent speaker on issues relating to economic development, regional economics, banking and bank regulation, and environmental issues. Promoted to Assistant Director of Research in March 1987.
1974-1983 – Hired as staff economist to perform competitive analysis of bank holding company and merger applications. Progressed to senior economist responsible for Research Department’s bank holding company operations and promoted to Assistant Vice President and Senior Economist in December 1981. Job responsibilities evolved from bank merger analysis to regional economic analysis. Coordinated and directed Department’s study of high-speed rail transportation in the Midwest. Promoted to Economic Adviser and Vice President in December 1983.
1975-1995 – Visiting Associate Professor at Roosevelt University. Taught MBA nighttime courses in corporate finance, investments, capital markets, money and banking, and managerial economics. Also taught part-time at DePaul, Loyola, and The University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Received a PhD, M.S., and B.S in economics from Colorado State University, 1963-1974. Fields of specialization included industrial organization and natural resource economics
