Richard Bush is Director, Undergraduate Management Programs and Professor in the College of Management at the Lawrence Technological University (LTU), Southfield, Michigan. He teaches in the Bachelor of Science Information Technology and Management Programs as well as the Master of Science in Information Systems Program. Richard serves on various university committees.
For more than twenty six years, Richard has been an active technology professional, consultant, manager, and leader working in a myriad of industries including military, government, higher education, manufacturing, retail, and automotive (to mention only a few). Richard has carefully plotted his career path and graduate studies to improve his management and leadership abilities. His aim and research are targeted at finding best practices, innovative technologies, methods of deployment, consulting, and management and leadership.
Dr. Bush earned a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University, specializing in Information Systems Management as well as Leadership and Organizationl Change. He earned a B.A. in Management and Organizational Development, and M.A. in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University. In addition, Richard has earned and maintains certifications with Novell, Microsoft, and CompTIA.
Richard’s research interest is in an area he calls the “human-side of technology” focusing on the implications of technology on businesses, systems, and processes. In addition, he continues to examine the use of technology as a collaborative teaching and learning tool.
