Weekend Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Driven by our vision to be the school of first choice for students in the region, Lawrence Tech has extended its reach to Northern Michigan. Serving the Grand Traverse Region through a partnership with Northwestern Michigan College, Lawrence Tech’s most successful graduate business program, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) is now offered on-site at The NMC University Center.

Lawrence Tech’s MBA program is also conveniently offered at the North Central Michigan College University Center in Petoskey for those that would prefer an alternative Northern Michigan location. With assistance from LTU’s On-Site Manager, admission, registration, book purchases, and advising are all convenient and efficient. Students enjoy the full service attention LTU is known for on it’s main campus despite the fact that they are close to 500 miles away!

LTU’s motto of “Leadership through Theory and Practice” guides our faculty’s commitment to teaching excellence and focuses on real world situations.

The College of Management is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and the International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). The MBA program at The NMC University Center provides working professionals with the skills, knowledge, and technical tools to manage complex projects and harness the talent and energy of cross-functional teams. By incorporating current and relevant business themes into each course in the program this degree provides a framework for managing organizational innovation in today’s environment of accelerating change.

Program Design

Like many of LTU’s programs offered at University Centers throughout Michigan, the MBA is a modular-cohort program with its course schedule preset upon acceptance into the program. That is, students take two courses per term and progress through the program with the same group of classmates.

All classes are offered in a schedule that requires the students to attend three-in person weekend sessions over a two-month period of time. These on-ground sessions are on Friday evenings (6-9 pm) and Saturdays (8:30 – 3:30 pm). Distance learning technologies are used to supplement the learning between class meetings.

The Masters in Business Administration (MBA) can be completed in as little as 24 months.

You may enter the program in the fall, spring, or summer semester. Your completed application package should be received by the Office of Admissions no later than two weeks before the start of classes. (Academic calendars are available at ltu.edu/registrars_office)
