Avoiding Plagiarism

It is essential to avoid plagiarism when producing academic work.  Plagiarism can happen intentionally or unintentially, but in either case, it is the theft of someone else's ideas.  The Office of Research Integrity of the Health and Human Services Department of the federal government has some suggestions on how to avoid plagiarising the work of others:
