Study Rooms Policy
Kahn Library
The Kahn Library is for group (minimum of two people) study use. It is on a first come, first served basis, and limited to LTU employees and students enrolled for the current term. Reservations cannot be taken for this space.
- There is a two (2) hour limit for each booking. If no group is present to use the space at the end of the two hours, your group will be allowed to stay until another group arrives. When another group arrives, you must then vacate the room. Individuals can check the room out if no group is present. If a group arrives, you must vacate the room.
- Library staff will inform you at the time of check-in if there is a conflict with the two (2) hour time limit. (Library staff use the space for programming, and this takes priority over all other uses.)
- Student identification or alternate picture identification must be presented to Library staff at the front desk for room check out.
- A minimum of two (2) people is needed to confirm group status.
- Groups may have access to a room once a day. Time will not be extended if new members arrive to join the group.
- Your name can be added to a room wait-list if space is not currently available. This is not a reservation. It is your responsibility to check with Library staff to see if a room has become available. If a room empties, and your wait-listed group has not returned, the room will be given to another waiting group.
- Beverages must be in covered containers.
- Library staff reserve the right to make all Kahn Library room decisions.
Phillips Room (M124)

- Please be courteous of your fellow students. Keep noise to a minimum, and your belongings in your personal space.
- Library staff reserve the right to make all Phillips Room decisions.
