Year-Long Project: Holistic Volunteerism – Connecting local volunteerism to the larger picture
Description: The goal of this project is to develop a new way of thinking of volunteerism on the Lawrence Tech Campus. Students will develop a strong sense of individual ownership in volunteering, particular to their interests and passions. Students will also learn that volunteering encompasses a wide range of activities, and there is not only one way to become civically engaged. They will also learn the importance of reflection and connecting what they are doing, experiencing and learning to the broader picture.
The Blue Devil Service Campaign Report and Service Learning Reflection Manual are both outcomes of Elyse's Year-Long Project.
