University Seminar Leadership Components
The goal of University Seminar is to develop the academic, personal, and interpersonal skills to help students succeed in college and create a sense of campus involvement.
Course themes for University Seminar are Leadership and Responsibility. Students are introduced to different leadership types and tools and then have the opportunity to participate in a Service Learning group project in which they help to meet the needs of a local organization. Students spend, on average, nine weeks during the semester working toward completing their Service Learning project. Descriptions of some organizations served include Fall 2007 Social Service Agencies.
