President of Molly Maid Inc. in Ann Arbor. Molly Maid is one of three service companies under Service Brands International. Molly Maid, a residential cleaning franchise, cleaned more than 1.4 million homes in 2012. More than 450 Molly Maid units are operating in the United States, with an additional 300 worldwide. The company has consistently ranked high in Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500 rankings, placing 78th in 2012, up from 123 in 2011. Roberts was named president of Molly Maid in 2012. She joined the company as director of marketing in 2007 and was promoted to vice president of marketing of Molly Maid and Mr. Handyman in 2011. Under her leadership, Roberts changed Molly Maid's marketing focus online, improving the company's website for customers and franchisees, adding social media outreach, and increasing the number and quality of leads received online. Recently, Crain's Detroit Business named Roberts a 40 under 40 for her business success. She received her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Michigan and her master's degree in advertising research from Michigan State University.

LAST BOOK READ: “I recently re-read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. It's one of my favorites.”

WORDS THAT DESCRIBE ME: “I'm known to have a good sense of humor, self-deprecating, sarcastic, creative, highly visual, driven, Type A.”

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: “Franchising, in terms of development, is really tied to marketing and technology. The way we serve our customers and clients is built online via technology now. The person purchasing our services is doing it online and the same thing can be said about someone who is thinking about buying one of our businesses. The winner is the one who has the best technology.”

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: “Absolutely my phone – I couldn't live without it.”

FAVORITE PLACE: “South Carolina.”

FAVORITE HOBBIES: “Definitely exercise, spending time with my kids at the ice rink, and taking bike rides with my kids.”

FAVORITE FOOD: “My favorite meal is breakfast, and my favorite food is grits and bacon.”

MY HIDDEN TALENT: “I was once in a horror movie in early '80s.”

HOW I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED: “As a giver – someone who would be willing to give to others before themselves; as someone who always puts others first.”
