President, Assets International LLC in Southfield. Assets International is a licensed private investigation agency that locates assets and their rightful owners, as well as missing heirs, throughout the world. Since its inception in 2001, the company has tripled in size and revenue, with 18 employees and $1.5 million in sales in 2009. Assets International was named among the 2010 “Michigan 50 Companies to Watch,” an awards program sponsored by the Edward Lowe Foundation and presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business. Practicing independently since 1996, Zwick took on Assets International as a client in 2001 and joined the company in 2004. He is a licensed attorney in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida and a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Clients include the American Heart Association, Dow Chemical, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Sony. Assets International has recovered funds for clients throughout all 50 states and in Argentina, Canada, England, Israel, Norway, and other countries. Zwick received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Yeshiva University and law degree from Yeshiva’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: “Searching for missing heirs is most likely growing because people are becoming more mobile, spreading out more, and losing touch with family members. I read a book about someone in the industry who used to have stacks of telephone books. The Internet has definitely made our job easier than it would have been 20 years ago. We still have to know where to look and we have tools the public doesn’t have.”

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: “My iPod.”

FAVORITE PLACE: “Jerusalem and Israel as a whole.”

FAVORITE HOBBIES: “Listening to music, reading, exercising.”
