WHERE BORN: “Ferndale.”

MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS: “My former CEO allowed me to move around the credit union in order to learn as much as I could about the business and gave me great advice about leadership. Also my dad, who always said 'save some for the next guy,' which among other things I took to mean that business ventures and partnerships must always be a win/win or in the end they just won't work out.”

LAST BOOK READ: “I just finished Lincoln on Leadership by Donald Phillips.”

WORDS THAT DESCRIBE ME: “Driven, direct, passionate about what I do, realistic, and I don't ask people to do something I wouldn't do myself.”

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: “The credit union industry's future is very bright. The financial industry as a whole had a few rough years, but as the economy gets better and people begin to learn more about credit unions, we see our future in a very positive light. Credit unions have added record numbers of new members, and overall lending has increased nicely over the last two years. People appreciate doing business with organizations that give back to their communities and to the consumer. We help people reach their financial goals. It's a better deal and people are starting to figure that out.”

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: “This would still have to be my iPad and iPhone. There isn't much I can't do with them, and it helps me stay connected.”

FAVORITE PLACE: “My home where I enjoy the lake, the sunshine, and relaxing when I'm not at work.”

FAVORITE HOBBIES: “I like to fish in Florida, read, and do anything technology-related.”

FAVORITE FOOD: “It has always been pizza.”

MY HIDDEN TALENT: “Most people are surprised that I fish.”

HOW I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED: “As a generous person who helped others succeed in life and who helped them when they needed it. I do my best to try to make people's lives easier in any way I can.”
