President and Founder of TruArx in Farmington Hills. TruArx provides cost-effective, easy-to-implement IT governance, risk, and compliance systems. Founded in 2001, the company also has offices in Austin, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Nashville; and Washington, D.C. In 2005 TruArx expanded its offerings to include health care consulting by acquiring a company with nationally recognized expertise in health care regulatory compliance and HIPAA. TruArx recently completed a merger with Texas-based TruComply to enhance its tools and technology with the web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model. TruComply brings additional expertise in payment card industry compliance management and functionality that is complementary to the TruArx product suite. Even in the current economy, TruArx has experienced continued revenue growth with TruComply. TruArx expects to more than double SaaS revenue in 2009, making SaaS the majority of TruArx revenues for the first time. Capinjola has more than 15 years of experience in network security sales, management, and consulting. Prior to founding TruArx, Capinjola was a vice president at Internet Security Systems (ISS) where he directed managed security service sales, consulting, and implementation teams. He also supervised field operations in the central United States. Before ISS, Capinjola was a partner at Netrex Secure Solutions. He helped clients design enterprise and managed security systems and managed the company's Eastern U.S. field operations. He’s involved in the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Computer Security Institute (CSI). Capinjola received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oakland University.

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: "We’re in IT governmental risk and compliance, a relatively new concept. Organizations feel and have demonstrated they can leverage such technology. A growing number of organizations are struggling to comply with increased regulation while balancing and implementing industry best practices that can significantly reduce risks and exposures. All of these organizations have limited budgets and resources to effectively manage compliance and risk. TruComply can reduce the regulatory burden that they face. It’s a proper alignment of spending and automates a lot of components, making it faster and more collaborative, as well."

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: "My most liked and most used is my iPod. I love music."

FAVORITE PLACE: "Rome, Italy, because there’s so much history, and I’d split it with Ireland, because I’m a big golf lover."
