JASON BIERKLE:
President, DIVDAT Inc., in Ferndale. Bierkle joined DIVDAT (formerly known as Diversified Data & Communications) in 1989, serving in a variety of capacities before being named president this year. The firm originated as a provider of print-and-mail services, and advanced with the newest technologies to include custom programming and data processing, online data archiving and retrieval, advanced delivery enhancement, electronic bill presentment and payment, broadcast email, fax and voice messaging, direct marketing support, and more. When DIVDAT purchased Newington, Va.-based Telepost in 1992, Bierkle directed the acquired division’s assimilation into DIVDAT’s culture and business practices while managing the entity’s development and growth. Under his supervision, the Newington branch significantly cut operating costs and increased productivity 300 percent. He went on to accomplish similar results upon DIVDAT’s acquisition of its Las Vegas division. Bierkle returned to the company’s headquarters in Ferndale to direct DIVDAT’s overall operations and supervise the Michigan office’s expansion and relocation, more than doubling its square footage and increasing its production capacity. In 1999, he conceived and developed the strategy to drive the company’s e-commerce initiative, establishing DIVDAT’s electronic bill presentment and payment division. In 2006, Bierkle led a team that identified, developed, and marketed the industry’s first complete receivables management system, CashLINC™.
