WHERE BORN: “Dublin, Ireland.”

MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS: “In no particular order, my father, Martin Luther King, Jr., George Roeper (of the Roeper school), and John Hume because of what he did in Northern Ireland. He got everyone to talk so it's all about compromise. He doesn't seem to get much notice.”

LAST BOOK READ:Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood.”

WORDS THAT DESCRIBE ME: “Driven, big picture, practical.”

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: “Mobile development is in its infancy. Outside of games, most iPhone and Android apps are not much better than contact forms on the Web. As we go from mobile 1.0 to mobile 2.0 and beyond, expect to see more B-to-B type applications on the iPad and Android tablets.”

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: “Arduino board (open source microcontroller).”

FAVORITE PLACE: “Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, County Clare.”

FAVORITE HOBBIES: “Writing computer books, reading fiction, listening to indie music, and playing soccer badly.”

FAVORITE FOOD: “Japanese.”

MY HIDDEN TALENT: “I can recite way too many passages from any Monty Python movie.”

HOW I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED: “That I could always turn a negative into a positive.”
