CEO of FordDirect in Dearborn. FordDirect is a joint venture between Ford Motor Co. and its franchised dealers to create a Web presence for dealers and provide digital marketing services that help dealers sell more cars and trucks. Under her leadership, FordDirect has extended its services to include inventory management, social media, and reputation-management programs. Since her appointment, FordDirect has grown lead volume to Ford dealers for both new and used vehicles by more than 40 percent year-over-year. Ford dealers sold more than 340,000 new vehicles from FordDirect Internet referrals in 2011, and currently represent 22 percent of Ford's retail sales. Coopes was a finalist in the "Female Executive of the Year" category in the ninth annual Stevie Awards for women in business. Prior to joining FordDirect, Coopes was a senior manager in Deloitte Consulting's automotive practice, specializing in digital strategy and customer relationship management. At Deloitte, Coopes led engagements at General Motors, Chrysler, and Audi to develop and execute strategies within order fulfillment and marketing. She received her bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Michigan and her MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
