Managing Partner and Creative Director at Inner Circle Media in Ann Arbor. Founded by Hensel in 2001, Inner Circle Media provides web development, graphic design, and marketing services. Prior to Inner Circle Media, she worked as a regulatory scientist at Parke-Davis/Warner-Lambert. In 2008, Hensel co-founded the Womenís Exchange of Washtenaw (WXW), a network for women business leaders, and is now co-president. She also serves as vice president of the board of directors at the Ann Arbor Art Center and chairs the marketing committee. A director of the Ann Arbor Ypsilanti Regional Chamber of Commerce, she is a past president of the board of the New Enterprise Forum. In 2006, the Ann Arbor Business Review honored Hensel with its Most Influential Women in Business Award. She received her bachelorís degree in chemistry from Albion College and her masterís degree in fine art from the University of Michigan.

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: "We do website development and the Internet is still growing in leaps and bounds. Just in Ann Arbor there are over 50 web companies and we all continue to do business and grow. We have different targets and itís a global market. Weíre also going to keep seeing new methods for connecting, collaborating, and sharing online. Weíll keep seeing the continued growth of social media and the convergence of web, TV, phones, and gaming, like how the Wii is now doing exercise videos and will stream Netflix."
FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: "You might expect me to say a smartphone, but I donít have one. Iím still resistant to being available to work at all times so I donít have email on my phone on purpose. I have this old Casio solar-powered calculator that sits on my desk and I use it every day."
FAVORITE PLACE: "Two Ė one is snorkeling in Belize; they have some great marine reserves and the second largest coral reef in the world. The other is cooking in my kitchen with friends."
FAVORITE HOBBIES: "I spend a lot of time brainstorming marketing ideas with my favorite nonprofits and I really like walking, hiking, snorkeling, and cooking."
FAVORITE FOOD: "All kinds. If I had to choose what I couldnít live without, it might be garlic, sesame oil, mangos, chocolate, and all kinds of wine."
