Welcome International Students!

Welcome to LTU!  As a new international student we hope to make your arrival and transition as enjoyable as possible.  The Office of Career Services and International Programs is available to answer questions you may currently have concerning your arrival to the university and life at LTU.  You will soon be on your way to an exciting new life in Michigan.  The information below will guide you in making proper arrangements for arrival assistance. 

Important Dates:
All international students are required to attend our International Student Welcome Week from May 5th through May 9th.

As a new student at Lawrence Technological University, we ask that you check in on May 5th between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Buell Managment Buliding.

Transportation:

You can also find transportation information by visiting our website below.  We recommend that you make transportation arrangements with a taxi company to take you to a nearby hotel before coming to campus.

If you need transportation from the airport, you can make your travel arrangements to campus by contacting Detroit Metro AA Airport Service, LLC at the link below or call 800.720.0797.

• Once you have gone through customs you must call to be picked up.  Keep in mind there will be a short wait before your transportation arrives.

Housing:

If you are interested in living on-campus during the spring semester, contact the Office of University Housing to compete a housing application or visit http://www.ltu.edu/housing/forms.asp to download an application.  Housing space is limited and cannot be guaranteed at this time. If you have questions or concerns you can contact the Office of University Housing at:  housing@ltu.edu or call 248.204.3940.

Please remember to plan ahead for your arrival.  Below, you will find a list of local hotels that can provide you with temporary housing. LTU does not have temporary housing available at this time. 

Please keep in mind, often students reside in hotels for 1 week or more while trying to secure housing arrangements, so please plan accordingly.
