JOB DUTIES: Lawrence Technological University, College of Architecture seeks application for a College Professor of Graphic Design. This is a full-time faculty position. The candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, recruiting adjunct faculty, networking with industry representatives, and assisting with program positioning and student recruitment. The candidate will be required to teach a full-time faculty teaching workload, as defined by the University’s Faculty Handbook. The candidate is expected to contribute in the area of service, which includes the coordination of adjunct faculty members. JOB DUTIES: The Department of Natural Sciences invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor in Inorganic Chemistry beginning in Fall 2015. The successful candidate will teach all levels of undergraduate chemistry with laboratory and excel in teaching and scholarship.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry with experience or emphasis in materials chemistry. A year of postdoctoral research experience is highly desirable. Those individuals with laboratory experience in synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials using x-ray diffractometry are of particular interest. Cross-collaboration with physics and engineering faculty to develop novel nanomaterials is expected and prior teaching experience is a plus.

JOB DUTIES: The Data & Application Analyst works for the Office of Institutional Research to provide the technical and automated assistance necessary to support the delivery of departmental objectives and to obtain data from the University database (Ellucian Banner). Assist the Director of Institutional Research and Academic Planning with the daily technical and automated operations of respective offices. Serve as an effective liaison between the functional users and University IT personnel.

The Data & Application Analyst write queries for reporting and for analyzing system performance (using SQL Plus, Excel, and other reporting tools). Maintain spreadsheets and database of historical or longitudinal studies. Provide various institutional statistical data for campus administrators. Complete Federal and State governmental required reports and surveys. The candidate will support special projects as assigned by the Director of IR. Troubleshoots and works with campus departments to correct data and process issues, irregularities, and inconsistencies found within the database. Reviews, tests, and provides recommendations to assist IT staff with implementation of system upgrades and maintains system validation, rules, and system security table.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from a four year institution of higher learning, or equivalent work experience; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational background in the areas of computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or research preferred. Understanding of Oracle Database (with preference going to applicants having Ellucian Banner experience). Familiarity with the higher educational environment is highly desired; those with experience in Institutional Research are preferred.

Candidate interacts with both internal and external customers/vendors during the course performing assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or equivalent experience and three to five years in an IT analyst position within a large organization. Advanced degree preferred. The position required a combination of Analyst skills, programming and operations skills. Candidate will perform task in all areas.

Technicians are required to perform duties including troubleshooting various platforms on desktops and laptops (both PC and Mac-based systems), a variety of software applications including discipline-specific applications, mobile devise, printer, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree with one to three years experience in a service/support-related position, preferably in an academic environment. Candidate must possess strong customer service skills and a wide variety of technical skills. Candidate must have knowledge in troubleshooting various platforms on desktops and laptops (both PC and Mac-based systems), a variety of software applications including discipline-specific applications, mobile devise, printer, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are critical to the position.

A. or B.S.) from a four year institution of higher learning, or equivalent work experience; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong background of federal and state aid reporting, Federal Direct Loan processing, awarding of financial aid is preferred. Working knowledge of Oracle Database and SCT Banner experience is a plus and preferred. Familiarity with the higher educational environment is highly desired.
