JOB DUTIES: The Director of Institutional Research and Academic Planning collects, analyzes, and reports data and information in support of the University's mission, decision-making, and strategic planning process. The Director also provides technical support related to the University’s endeavors in the assessment of student learning. The position demands considerable attention to detail and precision under stringent deadlines. This position reports directly to the Provost’s Office through the Assistant Provost for Enrollment Management.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on research or related area required. Master’s Degree in statistics, information technology, or measurement/research methodology preferred. A minimum of 5 years in Institutional Research. Ability to function both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a project team, with attention to accuracy, details and deadlines. Familiarity with higher education accreditation policies, particularly those of The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Experience with best practices in outcomes assessment, including methods, measures, and approaches appropriate to the assessment of general education, and undergraduate/graduate program learning outcomes. Ability to work with discretion when dealing with confidential information.

JOB DUTIES: The Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Communication at Lawrence Technological University has an opening for a Senior Lecturer of Psychology for the 2013-2014 academic year. This full time position will begin in Fall 2013 and requires teaching 12-undergraduate credits during each of the Fall and Spring semesters from among the Psychology Program curriculum, including (but not limited to) Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Drugs and Behavior, History and Systems of Psychology, Introductory Psychology, Psychology of Emotions, Research Methods, and Statistics.
The ideal candidate will have obtained a PhD in developmental, social or clinical psychology or a related field by August 2013. Candidates for this position should be committed to the development of a nationally recognized undergraduate psychology program in which interdisciplinary collaborations occur between psychology and life sciences, engineering, business, computer science, architecture, and the humanities. Candidates will be expected to blend theory and practice by bringing research and scholarship into the classroom. Candidates will be expected to assist the Program Coordinator in program assessment, student advising and recruitment activities.
