JOB DUTIES: LTU has a full time Admissions Counselor position available. The candidate will be responsible for all contact with prospective students from high schools, two-year colleges, other universities, and non-traditional students in assigned geographic areas. This includes travel to high schools and community colleges on a regular basis, as well as office counseling and advisement. Telemarketing and written follow-up to qualified candidates is also required. The candidate is responsible for writing I-20/DS2019’s for incoming international students. The Admissions Counselor uses independent judgment in responding to and taking action on demands and expectations placed on the University's marketing endeavors.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB DUTIES: The Project Engineer will act as support staff for the Director and faculty within the entrepreneurial engineering program sequence. The candidate will provide assistance to the Director of Entrepreneurial Engineering Studios in the coordination and implementation of entrepreneurial engineering courses and curriculum. Teaches and mentors students in entrepreneurially minded engineering laboratory projects. Develops and "tinkers" with entrepreneurial engineering projects in available labs and shops. Collaborates with Faculty and other staff in implementation of projects. The Project Engineer teaches two entrepreneurial engineering (lab based) studio courses per semester on average.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Engineering. Experience working in an entrepreneurial engineering environment is desirable. Must be able to work independently to identify opportunities for advancing entrepreneurial engineering, the College of Engineering, and the University, as well as students and faculty. Must be able to influence and motivate students and faculty without direct authority.

JOB DUTIES: The Data & Application Analyst works for the Office of Institutional Research to provide the technical and automated assistance necessary to support the delivery of departmental objectives and to obtain data from the University database (Ellucian Banner). Assist the Director of Institutional Research and Academic Planning with the daily technical and automated operations of respective offices. Serve as an effective liaison between the functional users and University IT personnel.

The Data & Application Analyst write queries for reporting and for analyzing system performance (using SQL Plus, Excel, and other reporting tools). Maintain spreadsheets and database of historical or longitudinal studies. Provide various institutional statistical data for campus administrators. Complete Federal and State governmental required reports and surveys. The candidate will support special projects as assigned by the Director of IR. Troubleshoots and works with campus departments to correct data and process issues, irregularities, and inconsistencies found within the database. Reviews, tests, and provides recommendations to assist IT staff with implementation of system upgrades and maintains system validation, rules, and system security table.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from a four year institution of higher learning, or equivalent work experience; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational background in the areas of computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or research preferred. Understanding of Oracle Database (with preference going to applicants having Ellucian Banner experience). Familiarity with the higher educational environment is highly desired; those with experience in Institutional Research are preferred.

JOB DUTIES: Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternative Responsible Officer (ARO) for the University’s F-1 and J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program and must be able to meet federal requirements for these roles.

Reporting to the Director of International Programs, the International Student Advisor will provide advisement and administrative follow-up for international students on regulatory issues related to maintenance of their non-immigrant status and will service as an advocate on behalf of international students with the University, the local community, and U.S. government agencies. Insuring the implementation of policies and procedures related to immigration and the ongoing development of internal systems and practices to insure continuous regulatory compliance. This position requires substantial in-the-field experience, and the person holding this position must be current with knowledge about the full spectrum of federal and state regulations related to immigration matters as they pertain to higher education.

This position is responsible for the University’s coordination/maintenance of SEVIS as required for Department of Homeland Security compliance. The position will work closely with the Director and participate in the development and implementation of International Program goals, policies, and procedures and will perform related work as required.

Ensure institutional compliance with federal regulations pertaining to the enrollment and employment of students and scholars on F-1 and J-1 visas.

Under the supervision of the Director of International Programs, the International Student Advisor is responsible for providing advisement and program coordination that contributes to the positive adjustment and enrichment of international students. This position will also provide services including individual and group advisement and programs that lead to successful integration of international and American students.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree from an accredited institution in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or Counseling is strongly preferred. A minimum of two years experience advising international student/scholars in a university setting. Extensive experience interpreting student and/or scholar visa regulations.
