Thanksgiving Break

Although the University closes for Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving, University Housing is open! Students do not need to request permission to stay, however the following should be kept in mind:

  • All University and Housing policies are still in effect.
  • There is a Resident Assistant on duty and Campus Safety present for emergencies.
  • The Information Desk closes the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. and reopens on the Sunday after Thanksgiving at 6 p.m.
  • The Tech Transit will not run on Thursday and Friday and will have reduced hours on Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • All food service is closed, but students may still order from Jets Pizza.

 

Winter Break

The residence halls close for Winter Break on December 19th, 2014 at 8 p.m. All students must vacate the building if they do not apply to stay for the break.

All students wishing to stay in housing over the break must apply by December 5th, 2014. Approval is not guaranteed and all students staying over break will be charged a fee of $200.

For students staying in housing over break, please keep the following in mind:

  • All University and Housing policies are still in effect.
  • There is a Resident Assistant on duty and Campus Safety present for emergencies.
  • The Information Desk closes on December 19th, 2014 at 8 p.m. Beginning on January 2nd-January 10th, the Information Desk will be open one hour per day to process mail and to allow students to pick up packages. Students should not contact Campus Safety to pick up mail. Normal Information Desk hours will resume on Sunday, January 11th, 2014.
  • The Tech Transit will have limited hours, these are TBA.
  • All food service is closed and students will not be able to use their Blue Devil Dollars to order from Jets Pizza.

If you wish to apply to stay in housing over break, please fill out the Winter Break Application and return it to the Office of University Housing by Friday, December 5, 2014 by 4 p.m. You will be notified by Wednesday, December 10, 2014 if you are approved your not.

Spring Break
